The 2004 RFL Nationals were the first of two RFL Nationals hosted by ComBots LLC, the previous ones being held by Steel Conflict. It was held at the Herbst Pavilion, Fort Mason Center, San Francisco, CA from October 8'th 2004 - October 10'th 2004. A field of 103 robots, with a total of 59 teams were invited, however only 98 are known to have competed as information on the Fairyweight division is lacking.
