Overview[]
Black Dragon is a heavyweight robot built by Team Uai!rrior from Brazil, which has competed in every BattleBots season since World Championship IV.
In 2023, the team signed up with Black Dragon under the name Banguela. However, it withdrew prior to the event and the team traveled with their lighter robots instead.
Black Dragon competed at RoboGames 2024, debuting its World Championship VIII rebuild. There, it comfortably disposed of Double Trouble in Round 1 before picking up a second win over Terrortops in Round 2. Team Uai!rrior's fortune turned, however, as it lost a wheel against BlackJack and suffered damage to its primary weapon. The team were unable to repair this in time for its loser's bracket battle against Ziggy Jr. and lost by judges' decision, confirming its elimination from the heavyweight bracket.

RoboGames 2024[]
Black Dragon's first opponent in the RoboGames arena would be against the twin vertical spinners of Double Trouble. The fight started with both bots spinning up and Black Dragon punting Double Trouble across the arena. Double Trouble tried to get away, but Black Dragon broke in its new design by making a chew toy out of Double Trouble for the entire fight. Eventually, Double Trouble was counted out and the win went to Black Dragon who would face fellow BattleBots competitor, Terrortops.
The fight started with both bots spinning up and jostling for position until Black Dragon charged onto Terrortops' lifter. Terrortops used this to throw Black Dragon on its back, but Black Dragon simply gyroed back over while Terrortops rammed the wall. Black Dragon took this opportunity to throw Terrortops across the arena. Black Dragon then threw Terrortops over, causing it to get stuck on its back while attempting to self right. Terrortops' arm was down, so they couldn't get back on their wheels. Terrortops was counted out and the win went to Black Dragon who advanced to the quarter finals to face the Las Vegas vertical spinner of BlackJack.
The fight started with both bots spinning up and going face to face while Ace slipped under Black Dragon. Black Dragon broke the lock and scampered away before nearly being thrown out of the arena by BlackJack. BlackJack kept up the pressure, accidentally inflicting friendly fire on Ace in the process, until BlackJack tore Black Dragon's wheel off. With the crowd now chanting its name, BlackJack went on the offensive, landing several shots on Black Dragon while Ace was content to chill in the corner. Eventually, BlackJack managed to strand Black Dragon against the wall where it was counted out, giving the win to BlackJack.
Now in the loser's bracket, Black Dragon had to face the Canadian flipper of Ziggy Jr. who was sporting a new look for RoboGames 2024. Black Dragon was operating at a disadvantage in this fight due to the fact that it was unable to spin up the weapon due to damage from BlackJack. The fight started with Ziggy Jr. charging at Black Dragon and backing off before getting to the side and throwing Black Dragon across the arena. Ziggy Jr. then corralled Black Dragon into the opposite corner before flipping it on its back. It's at this point where the drive issues of both robots came into play as Black Dragon was dead in the water while Ziggy Jr. was down half of its drive. Black Dragon managed to get moving again and avoid a count out, but without its weapon, all it could do was run for the hills while Ziggy Jr. awkwardly crabwalked after it. Eventually, the fight went to the judges who gave the win to Ziggy Jr., knocking Black Dragon out of RoboGames 2024.
