Death by Monkeys

Death by Monkeys was a Lightweight built by Team Death by Monkeys that competed in RoboGames 2005-2008, and RoboGames 2010. It was a four wheeled, Black, invertible robot with a fanged monkey skull painted on the top. It had no active weapons, but it did have a hinged spiked plow that could be swapped out for a wedge depending on the opponent. Death by Monkeys did very well at RoboGames, winning the Silver in 2006, and Bronze in 2008. Death by Monkeys was retired after 2010 after a very successful career. But it will come out of retirement for Robogames 2017.

After Receiving a bye in the first round Death by Monkey's first match was supposed to be against Wanna Go? However Death by Monkeys was a no show, and was forced to forfeit the match. This put it in the loser's bracket where it was supposed to face Bugalele. However Death by Monkeys was once again a no show, and was eliminated from the competition.

Outside RoboGames

Death by Monkeys competed in BattleBots where it reached the semifinals in Season 4.0, and the quarterfinals in Season 5.0. Death by Monkeys also competed in Steel Conflict 2, and 3 losing both matches at SC2, but becoming the lightweight champion of SC3.
