F7 is a British Middleweight robot built by Team Tilly that registered for RoboGames 2018. It is a two-wheeled, fast, invertable, unpainted (save for the bottom of the robot which is blue), wedge-shaped robot armed with a lifting arm, and powerful drive. The robot was ultimately completed, however for unknown reasons beyond Team Tilly's control, F7 ultimately dropped out of the competition. [1] This left Team ACE's Iron Strike as the sole UK Middleweight still registered.
Outside RoboGames[]
F7 made its debut at Extreme Robots Manchester where it put on an impressive performance, going 1-1, and giving two UK Heavyweight champions Ripper, and Eruption a hard fight during a Whiteboard rumble. This promptly got F7 invited to compete at an FMB event later in 2018.
Trivia[]
- As of 2018 F7 is one of only three British Middleweights alongside Iron Strike, and Robot Wars competitor Sweeny Todd.
- Despite merely being a Middleweight F7 has proven that it can shove around UK Heavyweights (which are 30lbs heavier than their US counterparts) with relative ease.
