Flame War was a Middleweight robot built by Team Tiki that competed in RoboGames 2017. It was a eight-wheeled robot robot based on the Butter Passing Robot from the TV Show Rick and Morty, and for weaponry Flame War was armed with a flamethrower on a uniquely movable arm (it's left arm) and had a movable right arm as a gimmick/decoration.
Like many of the Team Tiki gimmick bots, Flame War did not do well in competition, losing both of its matches by knockout due to being top-heavy and toppling over both times. Despite this, Flame War quickly became a crowd favorite due to its unique and comical look. It's name was likely a pun based on the internet term of the same name.

RoboGames 2017[]
Flame War's first match was against reigning Gold Medalist Apolkalipse. This match started with Flame War driving out of its square. However Apolkalipse was already spun up, and slammed into the side of Flame War ripping its wedge off, and flipping the topheavy robot on its side where it was quickly counted out.
This sent Flame War to the loser's bracket where it faced T-800. The battle began with T-800 bashing towards Flame War, almost toppling itself on some occasions. After some smacks, Flame War tipped over due to being top heavy, but as a result T-800 was flipped over as well. Both robots were being counted out but T-800 span and managed to get itself back onto its wheels, this eliminated Flame War.
