Grasshopper as it appeared for ROBOLympics 2004.
Grasshopper was a Middleweight robot built by Team Nightmare that competed at ROBOLympics 2004. It was a two wheeled, invertible, box shaped robot with two ramming spikes. It was painted black, and green with an insect painted on top. Grasshopper did not do well in competition, losing both of its battles. Grasshopper resurfaced in 2011, when it competed in the BattleBots Professional Championship that year, doing far better there. However it subsequently retired again.

Grasshopper's first fight was against Stahl. It lost this match, and was now in the loser's bracket where it faced Terrabyte. It lost this match as well, and was eliminated from the competition.
