Matts Bammer (Later Matts Slammer) was a Lightweight built by Team Fast Electric Robots that competed at the 2004 RFL Nationals, as well as RoboGames 2005. It was a two wheeled, Silver, invertible wedge robot equipped with a thwacking arm. Matts Bammer performed poorly, losing both battles in both events it competed in. Robot History[]
2004 RFL Nationals[]
Matts Bammer's first fight was against the vertical spinner of VD4.0. Matts Bammer lost this fight and was now in the losers bracket against The Coyote. It lost this fight as well, and was eliminated from the competition.
RoboGames 2005[]
For this event Matts Bammer was renamed to Matts Slammer, its first fight was against former ROBOLympics runner-up Wedge of Doom. A fight which it lost, this meant Matts Slammer was now in the losers bracket against Sparky v3.0.
This fight started with Sparky getting up to full speed, and tossing Matts Slammer on its side. Matts Slammer then started spinning, and Sparky delivered another hit. This attack flipped Matts Slammer, and Sparky followed this up with an attack that peeled up the bottom armor of Matts Slammer.
Matts Slammer then ran away for a bit before spinning in place, and delivering a blow to the side of Sparky. Following this Sparky delivered a hit that popped Matts Slammer in the air, however it did not flip over, Matts Slammer then rammed its thwacking arm into the front of Sparky. This disabled the spinner on Sparky, and Matts Slammer then started spinning again, and delivered another blow to the side of Sparky.
However this hit knocked something loose inside Matts Slammer, and it tapped out. This gave Sparky v3.0 the win by knockout, and Matts Slammer was eliminated from the competition. Matts Slammer would attend one more event after its final RoboGames appearance before retiring that same year.
