- "You think I know what I'm doing? I have a F***ing Horizontal Drum, dude."
- — Team Widows Peak on their robot's weapon.
Odium is an Antweight robot built by Team Widows Peak which debuted in RoboGames 2017. It is a two-wheeled, black, invertible, triangular-shaped robot armed with a powerful horizontal drum spinner capable of immense amounts of damage. Despite its powerful weaponry, pedigree, and fantastic engineering, Odium performed poorly in RoboGames, going 1-2.
Robot History[]
RoboGames 2017[]
Odium's first fight was against HomeSteader. For unknown reasons, HomeSteader had to forfeit the match, which gave Odium the victory and moved it through to the Round of 32.
No Anchovies would be Odium's next opponent. In the first 10 seconds of the match Odium was able to remove 2 of No Anchovies' wheels. Odium then landed a solid hit that sent itself flying around and inverted. Now inverted, Odium's weapon was positioned much higher and was unable to hit its opponent's remaining wheels. No Anchovies managed to keep its titanium wedge between itself and Odium until Odium suddenly lost power. Odium's weapon system was operating at a much higher current than anticipated and overheated, melting various solder connections and many of its own wires. Now immobile, Odium was counted out and No Anchovies was the winner by KO.
Odium's next opponent was Eclair & BonBon. However, due to the weapon system failure in its previous match, Odium had to be completely rewired. Unable to rewire the bot in time, Odium had to forfeit its match against Eclair & BonBon and was out of the tournament.
RoboGames 2018[]
Odium is currently registered on the wait list for RoboGames 2018.
