Prometheus is a Heavyweight robot built by students from the Robotics Society at UC Merced that first debuted at RoboGames 2013. It was led by Forrest Yeh from Team Robomaster as part of a college project. It was a two-wheeled, invertible, box-shaped robot built out of the chassis of the original Ragin Scotsman. Prometheus did well in competition, winning the Silver Medal at RoboGames 2016.
It's name was based on the Greek mythology character of the same name who defied the gods to introduce fire to man.

After recieving a bye in the first round, Prometheus's first match was against Puck. It won, and advanced to the Semi-Finals where it faced Last Rites. It lost, and was sent to the loser's bracket where it faced Counter Revolution.
This fight started with Prometheus shoving Counter Revolution around, however it was unable to get under Counter Revolution who then used its disc to po the hinged wedges of Prometheus. Counter Revolution then attacked again, sending Prometheus flying, it followed this attack up with another hit that immobilized Prometheus who promptly tapped out.

RoboGames 2017[]
Prometheus's first match was against teammate Ragin Scotsman. This match started with Ragin Scotsman getting under Prometheus, and slamming it into the wall after setting it alight with its flamethrower. Prometheus then got under Ragin Scotsman, and attempted to shove it into the wall.
However Ragin Scotsman got away, and got under Prometheus, engulfing it in a massive fireball before shoving it into the wall again. Prometheus then got under Ragin Scotsman again, but was unable to do anything. Ragin Scotsman took advantage of this by once again slamming Prometheus into the wall with the flamethrower going.
However at this point the flamethrowers on both bots ran out of fuel, and the rest of the match consisted of Ragin Scotsman slamming Prometheus around the arena. The judges scored the match in favor of Ragin Scotsman meaning that Prometheus was sent to the loser's bracket where it faced Khaos.
