Railgun S (Simplified Chinese: 超电磁炮S) is a Middleweight robot built by Team Atom that competed at Robogames 2018. It is a two-wheeled, silver and white, invertible, box-shaped robot armed with a vertical flywheel which could reach speeds up to 12,000 RPM, and equipped with a feeder wedge. Railgun S did well, placing fourth overall, and becoming a crowd favorite due to its powerful weapon, and upbeat driver. Team Atom would compete in Battlebots 2019 with Railgun MAX, going 3-3.

Hyper Railgun S, along with Menlo Robotics Club's Wukong is currently registered to compete at RoboGames 2018 using one of the two guaranteed 120lb slots for Chinese FMB competitors.

Outside RoboGames[]
Aside from prior versions consistently competing in FMB (Fighting My Bots) events in China where it is currently the reigning Middleweight champion, A clusterbot consisting of two Railgun S's also attempted to enter Season 3 of the Battlebots reboot as Diamond Tears. However they were rejected due to all the entry slots being full. Finally, they got accepted for Season 4 with a robot called Railgun MAX.
