Spitwad is a Beetleweight robot built by Caustic Creations that competed at RoboGames 2017. It is a four-wheeled, silver and blue, invertible, box-shaped robot armed with a powerful drum spinner. Spitwad did well in competition, reaching the Semifinals on its first appearance.

Spitwad sends The Butcher flying.
After receiving a bye in the first round, Spitwad's first opponent was The Butcher. This match started with both robots spinning up to speed, Spitwad then delivered a massive hit that sent The Butcher rebounding off the lexan. The Butcher then recovered, and spun back up, delivering a flurry of blows to Spitwad.
Both robots then spun up to full speed again and collided. This hit sent The Butcher flying into the air and rebounding off the lexan. This hit also ripped a huge gash in the lexan walls of the arena. Once The Butcher landed it was only functioning on one side with its weapon completely busted, surrounded by debris. The butcher was defeated and promptly tapped out.
Spitwad sends Hyperschlock flying.
This put Spitwad through to the Round of 16 where it faced Quicksand. It won this match, and advanced to the quarterfinals where it faced fellow BattleBots miniature, Hyperschlock. This match started with Hyperschlock flipping itself, Spitwad attacked it, flipping it.
Spitwad then delivered another attack, before Hyperschlock backed up, flipping itself yet again. Spitwad then attacked it once more, righting it once again. Hyperschlock then popped Spitwad before Spitwad flipped it again, then delivered a hit that sent Hyperschlock flying.
Hyperschlock righted itself, but quickly turned back over, Spitwad then removed the front, right wheel from Hyperschlock. Hyperschlock then got a hit in on Spitwad that flipped both bots as time ran out.
The judges gave the fight to Spitwad, but it suffered too much damage to go on in the tournament- its 8mm weapon shaft broke and there were no spares. It forfeited to Dark Slayer in the winners' bracket, and RumHam XL in the losers' bracket.

Spitwad first competed at AVC Sparkfun 2016 where it placed second in the Beetleweight division.
