Tricerabot was a Hobbyweight robot built by Team Industrial Might & Logic that competed in ROBOLympics 2004, and RoboGames 2005. It was a silver, two-wheeled, triangular sit 'n' spin robot armed with nine triangular teeth. The robot was driven by two drill motors, and could spin up to a top speed of around 12mph.[1] Tricerabot did poorly in competition, losing all but one of its fights, and retiring after RoboGames 2005.
Robot History[]
ROBOLympics 2004[]
After recieving a bye in the first round, Tricerabot's first opponent was Xenophobia. This fight started with Xenophobia spinning up to speed, and attacking Tricerabot, however this backfired, and resulted in Xenophobia breaking its weapon motor. Xenophobia then got stuck in a gap in the wall, and Tricerabot freed it before getting stuck itself.
Xenophobia then freed Tricerabot, which soon got stuck again, and the match was paused to unstick Tricerabot. When the match resumed the robots tussled for a short while before Tricerabot got stuck once more. Xenophobia freed it again, however Tricerabot promptly got itself stuck again almost immediatly, and was counted out.[2]
This put Tricerabot in the loser's bracket where it faced B-Basher. This match started with B-Basher rushing at Tricerabot, and almost immediatly getting stuck under the wall. Strangely there was no unstick, and B-Basher was counted out.[2]
Tricerabot's next match was against Mr. Shadow. This fight started with Tricerabot slamming Mr. Shadow into the side of the arena. However this did nothing, and Mr. Shadow retaliated by delivering a blow ith its flywheel that flipped Tricerabot on its back where it was counted out.[2]
RoboGames 2005[]
Tricerabot's first match was against Lil Shocker. It lost this match by KO, and was now in the loser's bracket where it faced Kick-me Kate. It lost this fight by KO as well, and was eliminated from the competition.
